Warranty Policy

We stand behind the quality and durability of our trailers. We are pleased to offer warranty coverage to provide you with peace of mind regarding your purchase. Please read the following warranty details carefully:

New Trailers

All of our new trailers, including brands like Featherlite, Lakota, Bloomer, and other manufacturers, include a warranty from the manufacturer. Each company has different warranty terms and handles warranty claims in their own specific manner. Freight to and from the manufacturer is generally the responsibility of the owner. There are occasions where warranty work, upon prior approval from the manufacturer, can be performed at local, certified service centers.

Manufacturer Warranty Coverage:

  • Coverage terms vary by manufacturer (typically 1-5 years depending on components)
  • Structural warranty typically longer than component warranty
  • Original owner warranty with possible transfer options
  • Specific exclusions apply per manufacturer terms

Warranty Claim Process:

  • Contact Wilkerson Trailers first to initiate warranty claim
  • We coordinate with manufacturer on your behalf
  • Required documentation: purchase receipt, photos, detailed description
  • Manufacturer determines coverage and approved repair facilities

Used Trailers

Used trailers in our inventory, at this time, do not come with an extended warranty other than what may be provided from the manufacturers. They are sold “as-is” with the following exceptions:

Our shop inspects every single trailer that we take in trade and will fix or replace any item that is found to have a problem during our inspection process. We do guarantee that everything will be in working order upon purchase and/or delivery of every used trailer we sell.

Used Trailer Guarantee:

  • All systems functional at time of delivery
  • Safety components inspected and certified
  • Basic operational guarantee for 30 days from delivery
  • Excludes normal wear items and cosmetic issues

Manufacturer Warranty Transfer: In some cases, manufacturer warranties do transfer to subsequent owners. This is handled on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a transfer fee charged by the manufacturer. If you have questions about warranty coverage on a particular used trailer, please contact us for specific information.
